So the other new toy is another Ford Puma - this one is a Thunder special edition in Magnum Grey, with a 6 CD autochanger and rear parking sensors. Other than that (and the absence of a passenger airbag), it's pretty much identical to our other Puma (aka Xena, the Panther Black special edition), with significantly less miles on the clock. Note to self - must change Xena's clutch when she next gets serviced!
The new car needed a name - her number plate starts with FY, so we've named her Fray after the lead character from a
short story by Joss Whedon set in a future version of the Buffy universe. The heroine in that story is a slayer called Melaka Fray, and she's extremely cool.
Fray will be getting plenty of exercise later today as I drive her up to Glasgow with me - I'm kinda hoping that the show won't be too bad on the motorway. I'm also looking forward to having a car with me to give me a bit more independance. I hate staying away from home with nothing but taxis to help me get from A to B!
