Two good things have happened recently that I just wanted to mention.
One is the absolutely fantastic reworking of Doctor Who - who'd have thought that ickle Billie Piper could be so convincing and unannoying! She's done a superb job in just one episode. Mr Eccleston makes a fabulous Doctor - such a damn shame he's just announced that he's not giong to do more than one season.
The other good thing is the positive impact of the celebrity - for once, someone's made a difference through their fame. Jamie Oliver has done a fabulous job in raising awareness of the problems of getting kids to eat good food in Britain's schools.
