I've had a fair bit of response from my post about Boston Legal, so time for a quick update. Firstly, good news everyone: yes, there _is_ a second series! Straight from the source, Bill Shatner's site has a post from Bill himself talking about the filming of season 2.
Secondly, if you are thinking about getting it on DVD, then you all need to get voting on Amazon.com to get them to release DVDs. As yet, it's not been released, but the more people sign up, the more the pressure builds to bring out the DVDs (and normally that means they'll...
I've had the dubious honour of working on a project customising Appointment and Contact forms for Outlook for a customer. A simple enough project - all they want is a couple of extra fields and some custom validation so that they can ensure smooth synchronisation between the data on Exchange and the data in their CRM package. Only thing is, customising Outlook forms is now pretty much "obsolete", so say the MS guys, so we've encountered a few problems.
The biggest problem surely has to be the fact that if you customise the contact form in Outlook, you'll immediately notice that...
15 weeks in now and clothes are starting to be a problem. I have plenty of larger sizes left over from my bigger days, but the problem is that I'm not the same shape as I was when I was larger. My arms, shoulders, and legs are still the same size as I was pre-baby, though the same cannot be said for the waist and hips... larger size clothes, while they do kinda fit, just don't quite hang right.
By the same token, I'm not yet big enough to fit into maternity clothes. You need a real bump to make the...
This September (cunningly timed to coincide with our last holiday pre-kids), James and I will be heading to LA for Microsoft's PDC (Professional Developer Conference). It's going to be a hugely exciting event, with sessions on topics ranging from next gen stuff like Avalon and Indigo to Office 12, with talks on Ajax, Atlas, and other bizarrely named technologies that, to us developers, are really quite exciting.
Personally, as with all conferences like this, the hardest part will be picking sessions to attend that we'll gain the most from, and that will be the most interesting and relevant in a year...
I'm now at the stage where I've moved from being in the first trimester to the second trimester - the bit where the nausea subsides and the bump begins. It's also (so I hear) the point where you start "glowing", and have the fun of being pregnant without the huge pressures associated with the final trimester.
Looking back over the past three months, the main things I have noticed have been the damn nausea (which affected me for about 6 weeks in total), and the significantly increased hormonal response to stimulous. I've lost track of how many times now have I...
