This September (cunningly timed to coincide with our last holiday pre-kids), James and I will be heading to LA for Microsoft's PDC (Professional Developer Conference). It's going to be a hugely exciting event, with sessions on topics ranging from next gen stuff like Avalon and Indigo to Office 12, with talks on Ajax, Atlas, and other bizarrely named technologies that, to us developers, are really quite exciting.
Personally, as with all conferences like this, the hardest part will be picking sessions to attend that we'll gain the most from, and that will be the most interesting and relevant in a year or two. From Anders Hejlsberg himself talking about the next version of C# to Atlas, IIS7 to changes in WSS - goodness knows how they expect us to see it all, but I guess that's the point :)
