Placenta brain

There's a condition that affects loads of pregnant women that is often referred to as placenta brain. I can confirm that this condition really does exist, and it's driving me slowly insane. I forget what I was doing halfway through a task, I forget words in the middle of sentences, and it's very embarassing!

It's not helped when team members decide to capitalise on your forgetfullness and "hide" things from you - for example, I popped to the kitchen here at work the other day and made myself a couple of slices of bread and butter. I brought them over to my desk, returned to the kitchen to fill up a glass with water, and came back to find that I couldn't locate the bread. I scratched my head for a while, headed back to the kitchen and had a good look around before returning to my desk - lo and behold, there was the bread, right next to my keyboard. Now, normally, I'd recognise this as a prank, but I was honestly very confused as to whether I'd imagined putting the bread down, or whether I just completely didn't see it when I returned with my glass of water!

The guys later admitted to the prank, so the mystery was solved, but that doesn't change the fact that I honestly couldn't tell if I was genuinely losing my marbles and going mad or whether it was just the guys playing a prank. I hope I get my brain back after this little guy comes out!
