Last Friday, James and I had our 4D scan at a small clinic not too far from home. The results are absolutely fantastic, and can be seen here. Not the prettiest of web pages, but given that I threw it together in an evening on a machine by hand-coding with just Notepad2 for company, I think it works pretty well.
We also have a DVD of the entire scan, where you can actually see him pulling each of those faces and waving his arms around! It was a fabulous experience, and well worth doing. We keep looking at those photos now and seeing our little boy - it keeps bringing a smile to my face each time I see him.
Ten more weeks to go now - still feeling the size of a small house, but at least I've shaken off my cold. Had my first good night's sleep in months last night (only woke up slightly once and didn't need to get up!) so I'm almost feeling human for a change. Just three and a half weeks or so of work left before I'm on maternity leave - hopefully if things carry on like this I'll be able to pop down and visit the in-laws, my Gran, my Dad .... so many people to see! Christmas always seems to involve a lot of driving. Maybe next year that'll change.
After Christmas, I'm hoping to spend plenty of time tidying up the house, buying stuff on the Internet, making the most of the January sales, and generally getting ready for the baby. I'm sure I'm supposed to also be relaxing at some point, so I guess I'll have to try not to do too much each day.
