Two words that don't traditionally go together - pregnancy and comfort. Especially at this stage, when I'm in the third trimester (eek - less than 8 weeks to go!). Clothing really doesn't help here; while there are some great maternity clothes available, i'm just reluctant to keep going out and buying things that'll only last me a couple of months. Still, with a huge heavy bump in front of me, and just one pair of comfy trousers, and one comfy skirt, I've been getting somewhat frustrated with finding stuff I can wear around the house and don't mind getting a bit mucky.
This weekend, for example, I'm helping James with the task of laying floor tiles in the recently-improved utility room - not such a hard task for me - they say that crawling on hands and knees promotes good baby posture, but I hadn't got anything suitable to wear for such a task... until now.
So, I hereby hold my hand up and admit it - I went out this morning and bought myself a pair of dungarees, and they are the most comfortable things in the entire world. You can laugh all you want but I'm comfy! Ok, so I still have trouble bending over, tying shoelaces, and walking any kind of distance, but at least I have clothes that stay up without constant hoisting.
