Had a checkup with the midwife on Monday - sent for a scan on Tuesday. Baby is looking a bit large, but is otherwise very healthy. Thing is, I've heard plenty of stories of 9 and 10 pound babies being born without trouble, so I'm not too worried. Everything else is going pretty well, aside from that. Blood pressure normal, and I'm still able to move around and walk about, and even tidy up the house a bit.
There are some annoying symptoms I'm feeling, though. In the last couple of weeks, my hands and feet have swolen up a bit, making it more difficult to find comfy shoes, and I've had to take all my rings off their normal fingers so my fingers don't drop off. I have real trouble getting comfortable during both day and night, and I'm really feeling a bit weighed down by the bump itself. Washing up is now even harder than ever - I can barely reach the sink, and normally end up with most of the soapy suds on my t-shirt.
He's officially due to arrive next Tuesday, but only around 5% of babies arrive on their official due date. I guess we just have to sit back and wait until he's ready, whenever that may be!
