Still here

Time for blogging is scarce these days - as is time for pretty much anything. Some days, Nathan decides to have an afternoon nap, which gives me some time to myself... but not every day. In facy, most days, he's very demanding - refuses to play on his own without me watching, and prefers to be carried all round the house while I do things like make a sandwich, or carry laundry to and from the machine (quite a juggling act!). I reckon I'll have champion biceps and shoulder muscles soon :)

Since I finished work I've managed to see nearly all of the episodes of Buffy ever made (and, sadly, almost all the episodes of Mutant X, but that's another story). Joss Whedon is a very clever man, and I do hope he returns to writing TV shows at some point in the future - Buffy was a splendid piece of television and I wish more episodes could be made!. But speaking of TV, I recently heard the rather exciting news that JJ Abrams (Lost & Alias) is to direct the eleventh Star Trek film, though my excitement waned slightly when I heard further rumours about Ben Affleck in connection with the project - personally, I reckon the franchise might be better off with some fresh talent.

Even more exciting, though, is the news that there's a Battlestar Galactica spin-off in the works - Caprica, set over 50 years before the events in BSG. As long as the scriptwriters aren't spread too thin between the two shows, this should be a great addition to the evening schedules.

A brief summer has come to visit, so Nathan and I will head outside again soon to make the most of it. Hopefully, I'll be able to blog again soon...
