The past four months have been quite a ride, and Nathan's growing up very fast. He's still around the top end of the growth charts, though his weight gain has slowed down a little recently. We've been encouraging him to do things like sit up on his own, which still requires some support, but over the past week he's started to be able to balance once we've sat him down. He's been rolling over from his back to his front for about a month or so, and he seems to really be enjoying it, though he gets a bit fed up after a short while - it takes a lot of effort to stay propped up on his arms, but he's getting stronger all the time.
Sounds and noises include many vowels, gurgles, bubbles, and squeals of delight, and he's mastered proper laughter now too - and there's nothing more wonderful in the world than hearing your child learning to laugh! He's a very happy little guy and he's lovely. It may be tough spending all the hours in the day with him, dealing with the vomit and poo, and coping with the endless demands for attention, but as long as I can get just a little bit of time to myself in a day then I'm happy.
