Progress

Nathan now has two teeth, is able to sit up on his own, and is getting very excited about standing up. He keeps holding out his hands while sitting and rocking forwards, asking for me or James to hold out our hands. As soon as he has a finger in his hand, he pulls himself up and shuffles his feet a bit! It's a new trick, and every time he does it he gets excited. Other favourite activities include splashing about in the bath and paddling pool, and squealing while he has his fist in his mouth, often blowing raspberries at...

Sales suck

I spend most of my life looking after Nathan these days - and while he's absolutely lovely, he really doesn't like it when I want to look at clothes. Last Saturday, I left him with James for a couple of hours while I did a mad dash to town to pick up something to wear to a wedding, and a pair of cropped trousers from Next that I'd had my eye on for a few weeks. Stupid, stupid me. Of course, it's the sales, so Next has turned into its biannual jumble sale, and none of the nice stuff I wanted...

Holiday!

We've all been down south visiting James's parents in Wimbourne (near Poole / Bournemouth), and it's been fantastic to have some extra hands available for cuddles / playtime with Nathan. We've managed to pop down to the beach, and Nathan's had his first seaside experience, getting his toes wet in the sea, and feeling the warm sand underfoot. Things are going really quite badly on the house-selling front. We had one viewing in the first week, then nothing since then - and it's been about 8 weeks now. Going to have to think about what we can do to get things...
