Progress

Nathan now has two teeth, is able to sit up on his own, and is getting very excited about standing up. He keeps holding out his hands while sitting and rocking forwards, asking for me or James to hold out our hands. As soon as he has a finger in his hand, he pulls himself up and shuffles his feet a bit! It's a new trick, and every time he does it he gets excited.

Other favourite activities include splashing about in the bath and paddling pool, and squealing while he has his fist in his mouth, often blowing raspberries at the same time. All far too exciting, but there's that nagging feeling that we're not going to be able to move house before he gets mobile. Looks like we're going to have to either attach some kind of reins to him, keep him in a playpen, or babyproof the whole of the lounge. Sadly, I think the only practical solution will be the latter - going to have to be quite imaginative about this - we have a lot of wires, computers, sharp corners, and a stone hearth on the "feature" fireplace. Whatever we do has to not make the house look completely cluttered, of course, since we still have to sell this place.
