We've finally managed to sell the house! Turns out, the buyer grew up just four doors down, and wants to move back to be closer to her parents (who are still four doors down). We didn't get quite as much as we were hoping for - and it was a lot less than the original valuation, but at least we can get moving now. Only question is, where are we going?
With James's job in Abingdon, we need to move to somewhere far more commutable for him - 1hr 15 on a good day each way just isn't good for any of us, car included. Given the fact that we're at the end of a chain at the moment, we need to get moving to find somewhere as quickly as possible, which means we're looking over a large area to find the right house for us, given that we don't have the luxury of waiting for the perfect house in any specific area to come on to the market.
