Well, we've still not moved house, thank mainly to an impossibly long chain with far too many incompetent people who don't seem to realise that many other families are waiting for them to get themselves sorted out so we can move. The hold up is still with the bottom end of the chain, which means that everyone else in the chain is stuck waiting for them to finish. I'm getting worried that links further up the chain will start falling apart at this rate, so fingers crossed we'll be moving sooner rather than later.
In the meantime, Nathan's starting to master basic speech, and enjoying saying things like mamamama and mememe and dada - occasionally, some of those sounds relate to myself and James, but most of the time it's all me, me, me, as in "give it to me", "I want that", "I want to go there" etc.. It can be difficult to figure out what he wants, though he has become very good at pointing at what he wants. And if he doesn't get his way, he throws his head and entire body backwards, yells, cries, and generally has a strop, and you just have to hope you can catch him before he thuds into the walll / floor. I'm sure someone said that tantrums are a 2-year old thing, so I guess I'm either getting it early, or there's far worse to come!
Aside from stroppiness, Nathan's a little star. He's a very confident walker, able to stoop down, pick up an object, get back up again and keep walking without touching the ground with his hands. He's also determined to learn how to climb onto the sofa, though he's not quite tall enough yet!
As for me, well, I'm currently hooked on playing Lego Star Wars (all 6 episodes). It's mindlessly silly, which is what you need when you spend all day sitting in the middle of a load of boxes, waiting for the all-important phone call from the lawyers to say we're moving.
