I've not blogged for a while, but here are a few things I take away from the year.
There were a number of key sites I wanted to take more advantage of this year, but lack of time and need to get involved means I didn't. Delicious I already use, but also Flickr, Technorati and stock.xchng. The idea of tagging everything from this blog post to photos worth sharing is good I think. He's been keeping it quite but it looks like Dave has been christened Database Geek of the Week by red gate. They've got an interview with him here.
Thomas Williams pointed out a really nice little extension for Windows Explorer that adds a "Folder Size" column into the explorer Details View. It's one of things you never realise you'll use until you do and it's a Sourceforge project too so you can even suggest new features of the authors. Nice..
Found two new weekly sources of entertainment online recently. Heartily recommended.
Ricky Gervais, creator of Extras and The Office, is doing a set of 12 podcasts for the Guardian. Distinctly off the cuff and great fun.
The Muppets famed hecklers, Statler and Waldorf, have started their own movie reviews section at movies.go.com with incidental help from the rest of the crew.
