Jamie Cansdale has at last released the gold version of TestDriven.NET 2.0. I imagine I'm not the only one to ask for a replay button in this release, but my I'm glad its there. Jamie blogs the full set of new features here on his blog. And don't forget to pay for it if you use it in more than an amateur capacity.
Vista is imminent. We know this. It does not include some of the features initially promised. We know this too. It looks prettier thanks to the new graphics subsystem. Yup. It has a new IP stack rewritten from scratch, new key additions to its default group policy objects, and revamped system backups and restores to name but a few others. Maybe some of this is news?
There's a lot of brouhaha in the general press about what there is and isn't in Vista any more. With the release of RC2 though, people's attentions are being brought back to actually what it...
Well, there were cranes there but I didn't taken any photos of them. Part of my birthday track day package included two free tickets to a race day at Silverstone. The British Touring Car Championship was up coming and so we got a pair of tickets and watched Matt Neal win this season's championship in its penultimate race. Janey couldn't make it but Dave did. A great day's racing and some good photos (on Flickr) to boot.

About time. For those unaware, RRP and EPP are the main protocols for registrars to talk to registries changing domain, contact and host details. EPP is replacing RRP. With the enforcement of EPP in .com, the main barrier to entry for new registrars has come down and pretty much all the main TLDs and most of the new ones too now all use EPP. One system to rule them all....
Registrars who support .com domain names will use the Extensible Provisioning Protocol (EPP) system by October 28. ...There will be an additional step when trying to transfer a .com domain name among registrars. Specifically, a piece of...

Well, it's taken a while, but I've finally gotten round to putting up the latest version of my personal site, hmobius.com, live on the web. It is, as you might imagine, found at http://www.hmobius.com, written in ASP.NET 2.0 and quite minimalist. All font sizes are relative as well, so text resizing is fine if you think it's too small. Please have a look and let me know what you think. Probably a negative image skin when I have the time.
Just for reference, here is where you can find me on the web at the moment

Warren has mentioned it briefly and so too have Torrentfreak and .NET magazine, so as a fully paid up Angel, it seems right to mention it as well. A Swarm of Angels is a new initiative to create and produce a £1m feature film that is funded and crewed almost completely via the internet. The film will be Creative Commons licensed and could well mark a new way to create indie films. It's exciting and there are already well over 700 talented people on board. It has indirectly become a LinkedIn equivalent for creative types as well. Join up and contribute....
