Reader, you're a right dimwit
I've known about this practice for a long time. Those of us involved in the publishing industry understand it. Publishers want to sell books and the best way to do that is have them prominently displayed. It's called advertising and you have to pay for that. The same is true with online stores. OK there's no physical display, but the effect is the same; the publisher pays, either upfront or by offering deep discounts to the store. So remember, everything you buy, including books, is subtly advertised in some way. We're all suckers. [via Neil Gaiman]

Yep, the right Dave and no problem at all. In fact you're doing me a favour by taking them - sometimes I don't know waht to do with the free copies I get.

Ebay???

Thought I'd dive straight in and use a predefined app to get to use ASP.NET 2 first hand, and followed pretty much everything in your book.

I went for DotNetNuke because I needed something like Mambo to run a community type site with loads of moderators etc etc.

Got SQL Express installed on remote windows server 2003 no probs, also vwd on my local machine no probs. Can I get the damn web.config file to work?? NO!! Have you seen the web.config file for DotNETNuke?!?!

Take a look at test.saintsfc.com and before you ask I don't have a DotNetNuke_template.mdf and yes I am a right dimwit

Well, progressing but still not connecting!!

DotNetNuke Upgrade Error
The Assembly Version ( [ASSEMBLYVERSION] ) does not match the Database Version ( [DATABASEVERSION] )

ERROR: Could not connect to database.

Invalid value for key 'attachdbfilename'.

Has to be a permissions thing......

In reply to your original blog and the article on times Online I guess you could say you have a best seller!!! why not, no-one actually determines what a best seller is and to what guidelines a best seller is calculated... Therefore using your own "calculation method" can you not "sucker us" into claiming you have just given me your "International Best Seller"?
