After a few days of manic emailing, telephoning, editing, re-editing, cropping, colour-balancing, structuring and general tweaking, Catherine’s garden design website CNG Design is now up and running!
It’s not quite finished yet. The content will be translated into French over the next couple of weeks and will be added to a directory on the .co.uk domain until the purchase of the .fr domain is complete.
I know that some of the pond life have been wondering who the mysterious Bunny Frog actually is. I’d like to take a moment to assure the pond life that Bunny Frog is not a genetic modification experiment gone wrong. We don’t do those here. Although we suspect that the mysterious duck-rabbit seen on/in the pond might have escaped from a science experiment somewhere.

According to scientists (who have a formula) today is the worst day of the year. But as today is a Tuesday, the Frog Prince and I reckon yesterday was officially the “worst day of the year”.
We don’t have a scientific formula to prove it, just a catalogue of bad luck:
Keyboards and coffee (with sugar in, they seem to mind the unsweetened kind less) don’t mix. (Him / Me)
Sometimes, traffic just appears for no reason, meaning that you have to sit in the car for an hour longer than normal while what little coffee you did manage not to pour into...
One thing that made this week a lot more bearable was my review copy of Head First HTML with CSS & XHTML, which finally arrived. It really is a thing of great beauty! Full colour really suits the Head First format!

Another busy week: I’ve been designing a leaflet for Elphicks Fisheries. It’s been an interesting challenge because the previous leaflet was A3 (folded) and the new one is an A4 6pp (tri-fold): shades of pints and half pint pots! Still, they seem very pleased with the design, so all that’s left to do is liaise with a printer.
Also on the drawing board at the moment are two sub-domains for the CH Association, each of which requires a slightly different “take” on the main site’s design whilst still being obviously related to it. Also for the CHA, I have been spending...
The Frog Prince and I watched Dave Gorman’s Googlewhack Adventure recently and of course once the show was over we had to try it and see if we could get our own googlewhacks.

The first week of January always has that feel of potential and new beginnings, and this week not even the Frog Blog is immune. Over at the Load of Bull(ring) article, one commenter, Steven has taken a shine to Tanya, another commenter!
The idea that the Frog Blog could help a couple of its readers find their very own frog prince or princess brought a smile to my face!
Whew! More than a month without a blog... You can tell I was busy in the run up to the Festering Season! So, a quick update: apart from producing the usual haul of “Christmassy” illustrations for various clients, I’ve been busy with the CHA and Elphicks Fisheries websites. And most recently I’ve been helping Elphicks Fisheries re-design their promo leaflet.
What else? I’m pretty sure there’s something else keeping me busy... Oh yes, of course. The book! It’s going great guns and although I still can’t tell you much, it’s really starting to take shape, so I hope to be able...
