Just a quick post to let you know that Frog Box Design is now back up again.
Everything seems to be back up and running again merrily this morning, which leaves me in two minds. Part of me is shocked that a company named as the UK’s number one Windows web host in 2003*, should have no backup system in place, and part of me is impressed that they managed to find the broken cable and repair it so fast...
* I might point out that I don’t use their Windows servers for any of the sites I have hosted with them!
Just a quick post to let you know that Frog Box Design is down. This is an issue with the hosting provider—apparently an optical cable has been severed somewhere— so if you’ve tried to access Frog Box Design over the last day or so, that’s why you can’t get to it. So the secret formula (note I’m sharing this, so really I guess it’s more of a Creative Commons secret!) for upping a site’s hit rate massively seems to be:
Launch site, get faithful following who use the site even though there’s not much in the way of new content
Do a quick usability audit, then re-design the site ever-so-slightly to make it easier to use
Make use of new technology...
I’ve been pretty preoccupied with writing for the last couple of weeks, but the Frog Prince and I found time over the weekend to run some errands, enjoy our first barbecue of the year (it was Nathan’s first ever!), and take some more photos. Hurrah for friends with gardens and warm summer days!
These pics were taken yesterday and although it was a beautifully sunny day, it was also humid and eventually a brief thunderstorm made its way towards us.
We sheltered from the sudden and heavy rain under a beech tree, which I noticed had a great view of my very...
